J.C. Airoldi attended Massachusetts College of Art and Otis Institute of Art (Parson School of Design) in Los Angeles, where she studied illustration and design. For nearly ten years, she led a successful career in commercial graphics – creating storyboards, character portraits and special effects animation for several of the nation’s leading computer game companies. Airoldi left her career in illustration to pursue her art full-time in 2002. Armed with a knowledge of balance, scale, color harmony, and texture (the tools of both the painter and the designer), J.C. embarks on each painting as an individual journey. She feels that her paintings are the result of "taking the time" to experience the wonders she finds everywhere in nature. She strives to achieve in her paintings the feelings she has that transcend what the eye immediately records. |
